Is the US moving towards fascism?

Based on some recent comments by former Supreme Court Judge Sandra Day Oconnor, this may be something to be concerned about.

I wouldn’t say we’re moving towards fascism so much as some sort of conservative Christian semi-theocracy. They’re trampling on certain freedoms (abortion, privacy, religion, etc.) but they’re ramping up others (gun ownership, various corporate rights/liberties, etc.). I don’t think fascism is quite the right word, but it’s disturbingly close.
